The Fourth MID – Mid length Surfboard is a surfing experience which capitalises on modern design. To make catching waves and gaining control of your surfboard in a wide range of conditions easy for everyone.

We wanted to create a board that caters for the wave rider conscious of build quality and having a positive experience in the ocean. This Mid Length surfboard sits in the realm of user friendly ease and surfing progression when a foamie or ‘soft top’ surfboard isn’t quite cutting it. For the experienced surfer the Fourth MID mid length surfboard offers rail to rail capabilities and pocket surfing with really early wave entry. Ensuring you have a blast even if the waves aren’t quite playing ball.

With an extended rail line and elliptical outline the Fourth MID offers lots of stability which can create lots of confidence when paddling for and catching waves.

The lower entry rockers and curve through the tail give a subtle balance of control and ease that fits perfectly with any surfer wanting to gain more control of their own surfing.

Concave through the fins and mid points with a gentle vee through the nose mean you can get planing on the wave face with minimal effort. Still having enough lift in the tail to control through turns as you start to build momentum in your own surfing abilities.

A great first ‘real’ board as well as an awesome easy rider for more experienced surfer. The rails are soft 50-50 to keep forgiveness at the top of the list. The harder edges through the tail maintains control and ease through turns. The combination of the rails and bottom shape make for a lovely smooth ride that is easy to manipulate in a wide range of conditions.

A Thruster fin set up keeps pivoting from rail to rail very easy so you can start to push your turns harder and utilise this awesome all rounder in faster paced waves. We recommend using the twin + trailer fin set up like the Power Twin fcs2 when the waves are a little slower paced. you can just simply use a twin fin set up for the lighter riders looking for a looser feel to their surfboard.

BASE CONSTRUCTION
Base Construction (a polyurethane blank with polyester resin) is still considered the most versatile and all-round performance specific construction used the world over by touring surf professionals. At Fourth Surfboards only premium materials are used to produce top-quality boards; US Blanks at the core. Hexcel Glass for the laminate bonded with Silmar resin for best balance between weight, performance and durability.

All construction methods see the surfboards finished in 24/7 heat controlled environments to ensure curing times are at optimum levels to reach a finish unrivalled in Europe. The board is then sanded to a 240 dry sand finish ensuring that there is zero plastic lacquer on the board that can often look and feel horrible after a couple of months in the ocean.
