If you're kayaking on open waters and don't want to lose your paddle during an unexpected capsize, then the NRS Bungee Paddle Leash is what you need. A simple hook-and-loop closure secures onto the paddle at one end, and a second closure can be attached to the boat or your hand.
This is not recommended for use on swift moving water.
